E.L. Civics EL Civics (English Literacy and Civics) curricular units are designed to assist immigrants and other English language learners to effectively participate in education, work, and key institutions such as banking and health care. Students learn, in the context of ESL classes, to participate as community members, parents, and participants in the workforce. Students with a goal of U.S. Citizenship are also prepared to take and pass the written and oral citizenship test.
